The Hospital Quality & Efficiency Program (HQEP) is an agreement between Augusta Care Partners and Augusta Health that is designed to manage costs and improve quality for the health system. Success in the program is determined by the network’s performance against a defined measure set. If targets are met, Augusta Care Partners is able to share in generated savings and distribute that “shared savings” via incentive payments to eligible network providers.
How to Earn Your Incentive Payment: Compliance Review
If you are a physician, independent practitioner, or advanced practice provider in our network (as of February 2018), you can earn a portion of any distribution generated in HQEP by meeting the incentive requirements listed here.
One of the Tier 1 requirements for 2018 is a Compliance Review & Education Meeting. Our Compliance Officer, D. Scott Jones, has put together a 1 hour program for providers on how to complete a basic compliance review and risk assessment at the practice level. By attending one of the following 5 offerings, providers will not only learn how to conduct a basic self-assessment but will also leave the program with an easy to use review tool in hand. In addition to satisfying the compliance review and education incentive requirement, these sessions will also count for CME credit! Please plan to join us at one of the following:
- May 15 @ 5:30pm in ACC 3
- June 13 @ 5:30pm in the Mannix Conference Room (Heart & Vascular Center)
- July 25 @ 5:30pm in the Mannix Conference Room (Heart & Vascular Center)
- August 22 @ 5:30pm in ACC 3
- September 25 @ 5:30pm in ACC 3
If you are curious about what requirements you have already met, you can view the provider level incentive dashboard here.
March YTD Performance
Below you will find a dashboard of our network’s year-to-date performance* in the 2018 HQEP program. Measure baselines (“Base”), actual performance (“YTD”), and goals (“Targets”) are shown. The Indicator shows if Target 1 or Target 2 has been met. Additionally, any projected distribution based on current performance will be detailed in the far-right column. Definitions for each of the metrics can be found here.

*results are current through the end of March, with the exception of Patient Satisfaction, Pneumonia Readmissions, and Health Plan metrics, which represent performance through February due to data availability.
