Submitted by Kathy Kristiansen, LPC, CSAC, Valley Community Services Board

Valley Community Services Board is now offering an exciting new program: Medicated-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of FDA- approved medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. This program will address the Opioid Epidemic by offering suboxone, naltrexone or buprenorphine to assist clients in sustaining their recovery.

VCSB also offers an array of Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Services for individuals in our community. VCSB accepts commercial insurance, Medicaid/care and also uses a sliding scale fee for those uninsured. We offer a variety of group therapy for adults, individual/family therapy for children, limited individual therapy for adults and SU Intensive Outpatient utilizing Evidenced Based Interactive Journaling. Referrals to Same Day Access means that VCSB will intake new clients without an appointment on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday on a first come, first serve basis.
